With the sneak peek of axis rotation of items in Chapter 8 (which I didn’t cover because of being out) I was no less then ecstatic! Star Wars Galaxies holds the crown when it comes to the freedom and accessibility of having your own home and claiming a piece of the planet(s) as your own. But it doesn’t stop there—it stops far from there.
Interior Decorating in SWG is one of my most favorite parts of the entire game. Housing and Decorating is where the game truly shines and stands out from all the rest and there hasn’t been any game to date that can rival Star Wars Galaxies in this department. The new ability coming in with Chapter 8 to rotate items in your house on the pitch, yaw, and roll axis brings it up yet another level in terms of creativity, functionality, and fun.
When you throw in the ability to copy height and location, this is a decorator’s dream.
We have been asking for this for years. I can only imagine the sense of finality a lot of people will get when this goes live and they start playing with it. I myself am absolutely thrilled and will be going crazy experimenting and having fun when Chapter 8 heads to Live servers.
Also, just to touch on the December 14th Friday Feature, how long have we been waiting for a board-able space station again? I love this idea of actually listening to what players want to add, even though it did take years. Let’s hope they keep the ball moving with this mentality. 
I apologize for being absent the past 2 weeks (wow, I can’t believe it was that long), I was quite busy and preoccupied in my life but should be making much more frequent posts as of now.

UPDATE: I forgot to mention you have to ”complete two new Chapter 8 collections” in order to use these rotations, and according to Valara, ”Any profession should be able to complete the decoration collections without trouble.” :)
