This past Friday Feature showed us the new 54 month veteran rewards, which includes a choice of either a permanent Storyteller Token, City Banners or a Podracer Statue.
First off is the permanent storyteller token. How much does would it really cost to purchase a regular storyteller token (around 5k I think) and keep it with you? I know I do that most of then time and in my opinion this is a poor vet rewards and I can guess that most will not be “/claim”ing this one.
Second on the list are the city banners. These are a much better candidate for being claimed then the storyteller token and have a much higher “cool” factor. Unless, however, you are not a mayor of a city in which case they are useless. I’m guessing, though, that you can only place one flag down at a time and that those symmetry addicted players out there (like me) will not find any comfort from that.
Last on the list is a vet reward classic; a decorative podracer statue. I know of many collectors who would want their hands on this statue. As in many—if not all—vet rewards, they are just to show status and this does just that. The friday feature describes it as being a “tall statue” and from the picture included it looks like it would go up to about the waist or lower of a commonly sized character.
I personally have never really got caught up in the vet rewards much and when it comes time for that little claim window to pop up I’m not all that excited, but those of you who are at or close to your 54 month milestone you have a few rewards to choose from. Hopefully one of these “tickles your fancy”.
